Firstly apologies for the lack of updates, there will be a lot for you to read, but it’s all interesting so…..
Right after Passopisciaro, Agatino the export director of Benanti winery was waiting for me there.
I spend 4 hours in the walls of Benanti, Agatino a really passionate person brought me for a walk in the vineyard… They still have “Franc de Pied” (Vineyard which survived from the Phylloxera in the late 19th century), it was the first time I was seeing such of old vineyard, and it was amazing for me. The win was still really strong during our walk, lucky Agatino was there to catch me and don’t let the win send me away!
I couldn’t be even more happy when Mr. Benanti in person, arrived at the winery with one of his son. They are lovely people. Charming Italian gentleman, like they said: “Being an Italian man it’s a full time job”, Hilarious!

Well … My Sicilian adventure is close to the end. Tomorrow at 2PM I will be flying to Florence, for one week of tasting in Tuscany, sound really exiting too!
